Esquina Carlos Gardel has been opened a little over 10 years. It is located in a traditional tango part of town called Abasto where Carlos Gardel himself once roamed the streets. Out of all the tango venues we have visited over the years (and we have over 8 under our belt) this still remains our favorite for its class and the quality of show and food served. We have recently met the director and the owner Alejandro Canepa who told us that the venue has served over 1 million visitors since it opened its doors. I have seen the show twice and always enjoyed it. For a quality, albeit glamorous performance, this is the place to see the tango show. The meals offered provide a choice between meat, chicken or a vegetarian course.
